Join us for #BaboonPawty on June 2 from 12 – 6 EDT. We’re going to the Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania. There will be music and noms and lots of learning about baboons and celebrating. (Note that this pawty isn’t a fundraiser.) You won’t want to miss it!
Here’s the Twitvite for you to RSVP.
Our Twitter friend @Kolo_Martin LOVES baboons! He loves them so much that he’s been sending his pals little ones (and some bigger ones too) to rehome. A baboon is traveling to our house even as I write this! That’s the reason we decided to have this pawty. Then we decided to invite everybody!
@Flicka47 is catering the event. Check out the menu! We’ll have DJs spinning tunes and Barktenders serving all the tasty noms! The schedule for DJs and Barktenders is on Flicka47’s site along with the menu.
We’re staying in cabins at the Sable Mountain Lodge in the game reserve.
Everyone’s room has a great veranda with a VIEW:
Lots of baboons live in the Selous Game Reserve. They will be our hosts while we’re in Tanzania.
Isn’t the baby baboon cute?
We are near a great source of water that attracts shore birds. Here, we see Egyptian ducks and a stork.
You never know what animals you’re going to see in the water hole!
All of these photos are by Keven Harber, who originally published them on Flickr.com. I put links in the text to each photo as it appears in his photo stream. He’s got lots of other wonderful shots in the Selous Game Reserve, and I hope you’ll look at them all!
