Day 2: Art From New Zealand For Missouri’s Animals

Thanks for all of your interest in the Art Auction for Joplin animal relief. It’s nice to see old friends and new stopping by to look at and bid on the art work. We are all so happy to be able to engage in service to our fellow beings through our art.

This is Day 2 of a 5-day auction. During this day we’ll have two works available for bidding. I like to give pals an extra day for the first auction while pals find us, drop by and consider participating in the auction. That means you can still bid on Green Sea Turtle until 10:59 pm CDT on Friday.

Overview of the 5 days of the auction

Day 2’s art comes from WHSKR, a lovely pendant (more to come). On Day 3 we’ll open the auction on @BorisKitty’s ink painting, which you can look at in an earlier post.

Hope for Joplin
George the Duck's human's capable hand holds Hope for Joplin.

Before we get to the business of today’s auction, I’ve got previews of the final two artworks. On Day 4, we’ll have a bracelet donated by @GeorgeTheDuck.

Parker Paw
Parker has the quilt project totally under his paw.

Day 5, Independence Day in the U.S., our auction culminates with a quilt by @MaggieTKat’s mom. Parker and Maggie are keeping close tabs on their mom’s work on the quilt. It’s great to have such good quality control. I’m looking forward to seeing the complete quilt.

We are so lucky that our talented friends who also want to see their artwork help others when they need help most.

Pendant
Day 2: Steampunk Necklace by WHSKR
Our second work comes to the auction block from New Zealand. Where the handsome Dash Kitten helps keep his human on track too. Dash and his human have contributed a creative pendant featuring genuine watch parts. The workings of the watch give wonderful texture to the piece.
