Art Auction for Japan 2.0, Number 3

Texas Oak in the MistThanks to all of you lovely humans who want to help the animals in Japan. So far, we have completed two auction days for work by anipals’ moms. Today’s artist lives in my town and is a huge supporter of animal welfare efforts here.

Amber Stubbs-Aydell works with Black Rose Equine Rehab Center at Clear Horizon Ranch. Although the name suggests that Amber works exclusively with horses, Black Rose also supports companion animals in our region as well. She has worked with a successful campaign to get a dog park in Seguin. Amber helped some anipals donate on behalf of Tiger, the little kitten in my neighborhood who was tortured last year.

Tonight’s work is an 8×10 print on glossy textured paper. Amber starts with a photo and enhances it using Paintshop and Photoshop to transform it  into a work of art. This one is called Texas Oak in the Mist. The work is matted and ready for you to frame. You can see more of her work on the Facebook page for Stubbs Images and Beachcomber Photography.

Texas Oak in the Mist will be open for bids until tomorrow, April 7, at 7:59 CDT. The bidding will open at $25. Please make bids by leaving a comment on the post in increments of $5 or $10. When the bids close, I’ll contact the winning bidder to arrange for the donation to World Vets efforts to provide relief to the animals in Japan.
